Stepping off the plane in Milano after 5 days in London brought about feeling of comfort. Not only was the weather warm, but the air itself actually felt like that of California.

It is lovely to have the option of wearing a hula skirt bought from a Halloween store in Silver Lake as a dress and some complimentary accessories, instead of lugging around a heavy jacket all day only to find out that it was going to be too hot for a jacket, and the next day, to not bring a jacket and freeze to death! Milano speaks of luxury from the sleek silhouettes of the people to the fresh flowers adorning the runways. The parties and dinners are on their own level. And although Milano has exquisite taste, I proved that it doesn’t take money to create style because at least 5 well dressed individuals complimented my $6.00 Halloween store hula skirt purchase, one girl even said she saw something like it in Chanel!

Tuesday the Brit

When I asked a gentleman today if I could take a photo of him in his stylish ways, he asked me what it was I do for a living.

I replied, “I am a fashion philosopher.”

He asked in return, “What is your philosophy of the day, then?”

I answered, “When one wakes up in the morning, one must get dressed to the tune of a feeling, and not try too hard.”

He couldn’t have agreed more.

When you are surrounded by so many beautiful people, it is difficult to really pick an outfit that is suiting for the occasion, especially when the show you are going to is Marc Jacobs.  Regardless, we chose the following to clash with the titans in these little numbers:

Shoes: When it was raining last fashion week, we found them in a little store in Brooklyn.

We were not expecting for their to be clouds and cold breezes after a day of complete heat!  We left Brooklyn shirtless and pantless, only to rush back to our quarters to find something that was a bit more seasonally “appropriate.”
