If I could choose every piece in the collection, believe me, I would.  These are the best of the bunch:

These are the best looks from Theykens Theory Resort 2012 Collection.  All the looks had a slouchy, laid back feel to it.  Appropriate for in and out of the office.

Burberry Pre-Fall made clear the key trends for Fall, as seen from the previous collections that set the tone in the weeks of September.  Long dresses, Bell bottoms and Mermaid silhouettes outlined the collections.  All characteristics of the 70′s in a creative and original form.  Personally, I felt as though many of the efforts to achieve this sort of look for the Spring Summer season were tacky and appeared to be pure copies of a previous era.

Burberry succeeded in pin pointing the trend and interpreting it in a real and Burberry way!

Below are my personal favs for the Pre-Fall collection.

Custo Barcelona Spring 2011

One of the trends that have continued into designers’ spring 2011 collections is mixing and matching.  The traditional and safe look of perfectly matching each piece of your outfit has been thrown out the window and we are seeing unique prints being worn together. With an anything goes kind of attitude, detailed prints are paired up with even more detailed prints. At his 2011 Spring ready-to-wear show, Cavalli demonstrated the art of mixing different denims. With different textures and colors of denim, the combination makes the outfits look very three dimensional.

Proenza Schouler Fall RTW 2010

If  David Bowie and The Fall RTW collection  from Balmain circa F 2010 mated , this would be the outcome.

Dion Lee- The Aussie Wunder!

After discovering the Aussie superstar- Dion Lee, I could not help but share my obsession! With fine geometric shapes, uncharacteristic cut outs, and strong breath-taking prints, it is hard to resist.  With the seasons flipped, it is difficult to grasp wether or not they are ahead or behind the “rest” of the world.  The futurism that is found within may of the pieces for the Fall/Winter 2010 collection are remarkable.  Something like Balenciaga, but comparing Dion Lee to anything would be simple injustice to such individuality.

Enzoani 2011 Preview

The new JW Marriot housed the formal dinner and 2011 fashion show of the couture bridal wear designer Enzoani.  Bridal store owners coming from coast to coast for this specific reason.  The general consensus of all the spectators that have been standing by Enzoani for years, was that his designs were functional, classic, beautiful, and for all the above reasons desired!

Through the very short years that Canadian designer Rad Hourani has been in the fashion industry, he has already developed a signature look with every collection to date.

The latest Collection S/S 2010 embraces this neutral color phenomenon that has gone on for years, and he definitely nails it.

The roar of Karl Lagerfeld echoed through the famed Paris’ Grand Palais, as his Fall/Winter 2010 Haute Couture collection debuted around a massive gold lion statue. His collection was in honor of Coco’s astrological sign- a Leo.

The collection held a sense of docile emotion as the models walked out from the lion. ” But this is the luxury for life” Lagerfeld said, continued with ” Not creativity for creativities sake”. Lagerfelds’ words on his collection rang true through the entire show. Focusing on lavish elements, that are wearable- but still have the couture flair.

Set in what appeared to be a design studio, the Maison Martin Margiela Haute Couture show from concept to execution did not disappoint.  The models came out blind folded in black scarves, carefully and slowly entering, so not to fall.

There was a western inspiration common in all pieces, one more flamboyant than all the rest.  The first look was a leotard paired with thigh high boots loosening at the top to simulate a cowboys chap, but comprised of individual scraps of leathers.  This technique was a better version of the patch denim trend that was founded in the 90′s, originating from the left-over’s of the hippie era.
