In contrast to the music festival that took part on Saturday August 28th, Heineken sponsored a charity event for the Christopher Reeves foundation in coordination with Rolling Stone, Fender, VIBE as well as Apple ipad and Nintendo wii.  The event had a great turn out and entry was for a donation base only. Drinks? You guessed it. Guest upon entry into the low key venue in Culver city CA had the option of grabbing a glass and going for tap or getting a cold one from the one of the various bars. Within the first room there was an option of playing one of your favorite wii games, Foosball, bean bag throwing contest, or chilling in casual seating area. But all the action took place within the next room where Jazzy Jeff was spinning on the 1&2′s, a screen printing booth was available to create your own souvenir t-shirt, guitar lessons via fender, a rolling stone photo booth, food stand with mini taco’s, sliders, and veggie grill, or the grand stage where Fabolous and Ryan Leslie performed. Forward Fashion snagged a couple of photos so you can see for yourself the action of the event. Next up is ATL on the Heineken inspire tour. Not in the area and missed the event go to Heineken inspire facebook page and check out other cities the tour will be making stops to & enjoy!

Busy mom and super star actress Shirly Brener may be busy, but she always looks drop dead gorgeous! Her classic sense of style from the streets to the red carpet got our attention here at Forward Fashion, and we are honored to have her answer a few of our questions on being a successful actress,  style, Israel, and Hollywood.

FF:  How does it feel to become another character, do you feel like the costumes add to your ability to become this person?
Shirly Brener:    Turning into other characters is part of any acting job. The real challenge is to find yourself in each of those roles, or if the character is far off from you, do enough research and find things such as manner of talk, way of walk, props, costume, hair, etc that  make you feel and behave as this person.

In Righteous Kill, working with two of the greatest legends of cinematic history and together in the same film in and together in the same scenes with me added to my ability to become the character. The whole team of producers, director (Jon Avnet- “Fried Green Tomatoes”), other cast of A list people and the high budget all made it super lucrative.
